Sleep For Solutions is an all-night event designed to promote awareness and empathy, and fundraise for the homeless. By sleeping outside for a night, be it on the ground, in a sleeping bag, on blankets, or even on a cardboard box, participants of all ages are invited to consider the experiences of the homeless, if just for a night. All residents of Rye Brook, NY and Blind Brook teachers and staff (along with their families) are welcome to attend the event, however anyone at all may donate to the cause.

All Blind Brook High School students can receive up to 11 hours of community service if they attend the event. The Blind Brook High School and Middle School English and Social Studies Departments are offering extra credit opportunities. Ask your English and/or Social Studies teacher to find out more!
Participants are encouraged to carpool and park at Blind Brook High School. Water is permissible and the village bathrooms will be open. However, food is not allowed, as the homeless often do not have such a luxury. Sleep For Solutions is an all-weather event, for homelessness has no rain date. The Rye Brook Police Department, the Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and adult volunteers will supervise the event.
Let us show our strength as a community. This is an opportunity for your family to come together with our community of Rye Brook to work on behalf of a truly critical cause.
